Three Cities That Call My Name

January 10, 2026

There are countless places to visit in this world. Endless cultures to experience, people to meet, landscapes to marvel at. Yet somehow, three cities rise above the rest in my imagination, each calling to me for different reasons. Saint Petersburg stands first on my list. From everything I’ve seen online and heard from those who’ve been, this is a truly magical place. The architecture, the history, the sheer grandeur of a city built for Tsars. It’s hard not to be captivated. There’s something about a place designed for royalty that promises beauty at every turn. Then there’s Buenos Aires. I’m drawn to its late-night dinners, the wine flowing freely and that distinctly Parisian atmosphere transplanted to Latin America. It’s a city that seems to move to its own rhythm, where the night is just getting started when most cities are winding down. But it’s Minsk that might surprise people most. I’ve had the fortune of meeting many Belarusians and I have to say they are some of the warmest, kindest, most welcoming people I’ve encountered. Bright, engaging and with a culture that deserves far more attention than it gets. The food alone is reason enough to visit. Draniki is one of my absolute favorites. Okay, I love zrazy too. Who am I kidding. I want it all.
